It works by changing the amount of certain natural substances in the brain. Serdexmethyphenidate and dexmethylphenidate belong to the class of drugs known as stimulants. This product can help increase your ability to pay attention, stay focused on an activity, and control behavior problems. It may also help you to organize your tasks and improve your listening skills.
Who shouldn’t take Azstarys?
Do not take Azstarys if you or your child are:
Allergic to serdexmethyphenodate, methylphenidate, or any of the ingredients. Taking or have stopped taking within the past 14 days a medicine used to treat depression called a monoamine oxidase inhibitor (MAOI).
Uses
Read the medication guide provided by your pharmacist before you start taking this drug and each time you get a refill. If you have any questions, ask your doctor or pharmacist. Take this medication with or without feed as directed by your doctor, usually once daily in the morning. Taking this medication late in the day may cause trouble sleeping (insomnia).
